Foodstuffs are like the trophic levels of predator prey interactions throughout creation and across geological time. A verdant earth feeds much life. Cultivation improves this. There are nonfood plants, verdant crops, fodder, and then food, nonhuman food and even nonfood meat science products for humans and pets who are consumers at the apex of the food chain in civilization. Fodder grains add to high caloric value meats produced by the agricultural sector. Agricultural mechanization in the 20th century has increased consumption of foddered meats drastically.
