Biosphere

The Biosphere is living and dead carboniferous life. Primarily mineralized organic carbon in geological substrate; all fuels begin as organic life. The Pleistocene Cretaceous mass extinction event, especially in places like Mesopotamia, trapped quantities of liquid phase carboniferous life energy in source rock.
